Where Exactly Are We?

Sweetwater Outpost operates on a fourth generation working cattle ranch in Nevada near the California border. Our basecamp rests at 5,800 feet in a high desert valley nestled at the base of the Sweetwater Mountains. There are roughly two and a half miles of the East Walker River flowing out from the Eastern Sierra's jagged peaks that serpentine through the ranch property. This private section of river is a trout factory teeming with robust rainbow and brown trout. There's a reason sweetwater is in our name, when you visit us you'll see why. 

The ranch is located approximately 11 miles North of Bridgeport, California on Hwy 182 and 28 miles South of Wellington, Nevada on Hwy 338. 

Sweetwater Outpost is a strictly catch and release fishery with only barbless flies being used.
